Thoughts From Grenada...

"I packed my mic, and unpacked...my thoughts"

Before releasing my first episode, something that I always wanted to do was record by the beach. There is something about hearing the waves that magnifies my vulnerability, reality, and hope. I physically feel at ease, the nervous system is settled, and the truth has a comfortable home. I knew that it had been a few months since my last episode, and I was thinking for weeks on what topic I would come back with. How ironic that what I chose to release, was without notes, direction, or editing. Once I knew I was going to Grenada, my immediate thought was: the time is now...don't overthink this, and let the thoughts, words, and pauses enter organically. I packed my mic, and unpacked...my thoughts.

"This episode is the purest episode I have recorded thus far"

This episode is the purest episode I have recorded thus far. All of my episodes are organic, however when I record, I will re-record multiple times until the audio sounds perfect. Not this time. I recorded everything in one shot, to the point where you will hear me ordering a drink, engaging with my mother, and the kids playing in the sand. The setting by the water gave me permission to calm down and embrace all imperfections.

Truthfully, this is the first time that I am releasing an episode without listening to it, and this was intentional to limit my need to edit. I have no idea what this sounds like and barely remember all that was said, but I am confident that whatever I shared, is meant for you to hear. I share updates, but also revelations that you will also benefit from. This also opened me up to the idea of recording in different settings while all thoughts are freshly baked, stay tuned for that. I hope you resonate with this and enjoy this episode with me featuring the waves....
